A full-time position is open at the Faculty Affairs Office (FAO) of the Faculty of Medicine (FM) at AUB. The Programmer is responsible for various software projects including developing databases.

Job Title: Programmer (Research Assistant Contract)

Job Description:  

  1. Plans, designs, develops, implements and maintains software for the monitoring and analysis of documents and reports issued by FAO.
  2. Writes software and database documentation, including data standards, procedures and definitions for the data dictionary
  3. Follows design standards and coding standards of the software development at AUB.
  4. Ensures accuracy and reliability of results.
  5. Builds and monitors quality in every aspect of the job activities.
  6. Reviews and implements database designs.
  7. Determines and provides solutions to problems in alignment with the general set strategy of software development at AUB.
  8. Readily adapts to changing circumstances, policies, work assignments and/or people. Able to multi-task and prioritize between tasks.
  9. Builds effective working relationships and solicits input and ideas from peers.

Job Qualifications:

  1. BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering, MS is a plus.
  2. 2-3 years programming experience in .NET and Microsoft SQL server, data modeling, physical database design and implementation.
  3. Experience in data management, versioning and backup.
  4. Experience in user interface and client side development (AngularJS/2+, Bootstrap, JQuery, Type scripting, etc…) is a plus.
  5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  6. Mobile applications development is a plus.
